This past week, the children have been having fun working and creating structures. For the children, this type of work is "play." For me, this "play" allows for them to investigate and apply what they have learned about structures, materials and types of fasteners. It was wonderful watching the children collaborate with one another on a structure for our "Alien Planet" and revise their plans on how to build it (based on their experiences with the materials and fasteners). Our "Alien Planet" is well on its way to becoming complete! More photos will follow as we finish our project!
